I thought I wasn't gonna blog!
Until... I browsed the Kaiser Chiefs' Forum/ Messageboard. The people there are real funny. Oh gah, I realised the band members themselves are real funny!

UHM, for example...
Nick: "I think it's weird when we're referred to as 'Ricky Wilson & Co.' Ricky doesn't get more say than the rest of us."
Ricky: "Yeah, to just pick out the best-looking one is ridiculous."
Nick's the drummer, Ricky's the frontman

and this video... the groupies part.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=VjbiYPVthLc

Haha, Ricky sounds like he's got a sore throat or something, I guess, maybe it's his voice. Well, I chanced upon this 36-track album on Ebay, and I was like... WHOA! OH MY GAWD! *fly me to Hong Kong!!!* This is so unfair alright?!

http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/KAISER-CHIEFS-Yours-Truly-Angry-Mob-2-CD-36-songs_W0QQitemZ230107617397QQcategoryZ43647QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

RIGHT! And it's what... 30bucks including shipping?! URGH... It's so tempting but I wish someone from Hong Kong would post that item too. haha...

*edit*
5mins after publishing...
Guess what.
I went back to look at the item and realised the bottom was printed with:
"Hong Kong/ Singapore/ Malaysia/ Canada. All rightsreserved."
1. Singapore?! Malaysia?!
2. Why is All Rights Reserved spelt like that? *thinks* ... bootleg? But it says: "Universal Music Ltd". WEIRD!
*/edit*

I've set my mind on this one though:
http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/Kaiser-Chiefs-Yours-Truly-Angry-Mob-CD-DVD-set_W0QQitemZ110107899704QQcategoryZ58594QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

BTW, Eileen! I didn't see your comment until the bidding was over, so I was like... *oops* I didn't bid on it 'coz I daren't ask my parents for their credit card info... somehow their spendings on every card are carefully calculated. But I'll try to approach my mum for this one... I so gotta have it! *bursting in enthusiasm already* haha...

Still, I am very much peeved at the 36 track album from HONG KONG!!! Oh ... maybe I shall hop down to Bugis street to check out the stores... HOPEFULLY, just HOPEFULLY, the China-printed version would have the 36tracks, 2cd edition too... Since HK is part of China! *screams* - excited already. Oh gah, craving for more music, lol...

Perhaps I should send an sms to my big bro in Taiwan and ask him to check out the music stores if possible, and if they have cheaper albums or any special edition-type albums... *GRAB EM!!!*

still thinking...
The Fray - How to Save A Life
The Feeling - Twelve Stops From Home
OkGo - cd/dvd ed - YES! I know there's one special edition pressed in TAIWAN!!!

Gotta sms him quick, he's coming back Sunday!

Oh, and I've updated my profile page! Nav.s up there. =]

ARGH!
I'm going crazy. Does anyone know if SONY DAV-SB100 dvd players can play all region dvds? Or if laptops such as Acer Travelmate 3280's DVD drive plays dvds of all regions?! It gets really irritating.

*ponders*

GET RID OF DVD REGION CODES!!! GOODNESS. IT'S DISGUSTINGLY TROUBLESOME.

Alright, so today wasn't a very good day. In fact, I think today was just a waste of time and everything, I did nothing productive, should've just considered sleeping the whole day away instead to replenish some crapped up energy loss.

Whatever. It wouldn't make sense to you anyway.

Right, so I hate the stupid lao cock cock ramen fella who doesn't know how to teach. Could you get rid of him please?! GOODNESS. HE's such a freaking ah gwa lah. GET LOST! Don't even talk to me; your classes are useless. RIGHT. That explains why I was covering my ears and completely ignoring you, to the extent of not looking at your face once throughout the whole lecture. Good. Just scram.

You're just useless.

SCRAM.

I'm just gonna do something idiotic now.

Okay, I'm pretty impressed with this article:

[ + click to expand and read]

Credits: http://www.gerardbutler.net/

BUT, whoever said the film was absolutely accurate and incredibly realistic?
It is, based on a comic book.
Haha... So I think it's really funny.

OHHH! Guess what time I woke today!
1.50+ going to 2pm.
GOODNESS... Okay, it was a very nice, long sleep. SO satisfying. I don't get to sleep till late for weekdays.

I'm just surfing some sites and all... I shall update the fanlistings portion in my blog - with ACTORS! Yep, actors. I'm gonna put David Wenham, Gerard Butler... and lets see how many more I can find... maybe... *Tom Wisdom* !!! haha

ok ok, let me tell you yesterday's story.
Loisa and I were supposed to meet at Dover at 11.10am - GUESS WHAT. We both met at around 11.35am. Sweet eh. Both of us were late. ('coz we had to "bake cakes" - the nature way)

Then, I think I gave myself too much attention by fiddling with my handphone A LOT in the mrt, then looking around, and when it reached Dover, stuck my head out when the door was closing, and then rushing back in before proceeding (more like fumbling through the moving train in my heels - I'll tell you why there's the heels and all part later) to find Loisa in the orange section of the backside of the train. It was crappy luuh... So many people were STARING. It was like weird. Okay.

SO. We talked, and I kept getting out of balance. The proposed meeting time was 11.45am at Cineleisure Orchard - of course it didn't get through - everyone was late, lol. OKAY... What else... OH! Great, when it reached Raffles Place, we were still chatting away in the train; then, the door closing sound came on, we looked out, and then we rushed out - yeah, we realised at the last minute. That's real "blur". Oh... Right, we missed the Somerset stop, and went to Orchard, so we had to ride the train back to Somerset again - *faints*

*The exciting part*
On our way there, we were thinking of how to get the M18 tix for 300 and whatever questions the box office officer would ask us. So it was a little nerve-wrecking, we absolutely didn't want to be rejected. When we got to the 5th floor, we approached an empty ticket counter. I hesitated and asked, "Are you ready?"; so another person went ahead of us and we had to wait. At that point of time, a security officer came along to that counter and I don't know what he did, but knowing Loisa's "affinity" with security guards, we headed to the counter at the far left.

"Who's asking?", I asked.
"You?", Loisa replied - or something like that.
"Okay."

"Hi, blah blah blah" - good afternoon, what shows you wanna watch or something, I can't remember what she said.
"3 tickets to 300 please"

*a moment of blur*
*I had to repeat*

"Choose your seats"
"Okay, I need to see 3 I.D.s for the three tickets"

"Our friend isn't here yet"
"How old is she?"

me: "19, or is it..." - it's 20! How can I still be living in 2006?! crap.
L: "19. NO NO NO! 20" - something like that, some *moments of blur*

counter: "ok."

*Loisa takes out her identification (UBSIM card), hands to the counter staff*
*I fumbled with my bag*

counter: "What's your birth month?" - after checking the ic number, which says S89XXXXXX.

L: February

Then I passed her my UBSIM card, being mentally prepared for the same question, I said...
"March, just passed"- with a very natural smile, lol

* RELAXED. *
L: yeah, that's why we're celebrating her birthday

*looks suspiciously*

BUT.
No problems...
*chooses seats, pays $$$*

*walked calmly to the lift, got into it...*

"YEAH! WHOA! AHHHHAHA" - *hyperventilate* totally excited. =]

Then we got ourselves some food, met Eileen after some missed calls from her - haha, oops!
Took the lift up, went to the toilet, missed the first 5minutes, scrambled into the theatre and watched the glorious show.

Crap. It's only Restricted 15 years and above in U.S.

OH WELL!

I WATCHED 300!!!
IT WAS SO AWESOME AND FREAKING COOL MAN!
okay.. okay... the bods. But! the way the Spartans fought was just totally *whacked*.
TOTALLY LOVED THE FIRST WAVE, ALTHOUGH I was pretty much curled up and hugging my bag.

It's SCARY lah. *Loudness*
But I loved it =] heh.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Thermopylae
That's the REAL Battle of Thermopylae!

Yeah, I was so excited I grabbed my UGC 111 textbook and read up on the challenge of Persia when I came home, then I dug out my magazine with a 3-pg feature on 300. It's not exactly a realistic movie, but some references are direct, like the "fight in the shade" and the names, the Immortals, and the traitor.

KING LEONIDAS!!!

*perhaps the story of how we both 18 year-old-soons (very soon - we're by right, 18 yr olds already anyway) got our way through the box office and into the M18 show will be brought to light soon :)
SUCH a sense of accomplishment. I felt like I've grown older already. hhahahahah! Right. UHM. Whatever.

It was my FIRST m18 show lah! Gotta crap a bit what...
OK OK, I shall continue another time.

OUCHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
I WANNA SCREAM!!!!!!

Probably the most painful places to hurt yourself with a bruise I've heard so far is the shin, the elbow and the inner part of your arm.

RIGHT.
Like, this is really stupid, but I was walking to the toilet and I raised my arm to fiddle with my hair, 'coz the rubber band's like... coming off, and my left elbow hit the door frame so hard that for a moment my arm was like, NUMB.

eek... I just grabbed my elbow and squirmed. Darn, now when I bend my elbow it still hurts.

AND! It was all because I was rushing out 'coz my parents wanted to go to the track and exercise. WELL, of course I'd love to go with them. But my purpose wasn't to jog. I wanna have a nice, relaxing, destressing stroll in the quiet surroundings. Then I realised, wow. This place faces some really tall trees and bushes - kinda looked like a jungle, if not for the lights we see through the trees. It IS kinda thick AND dense. There were crickets! It sounded really peaceful, and the wind blew a lot, so it was pretty cooling.

As it got darker, it got a little bit scary, but it was still quite nice to walk there. Well, I think it is quite nice to walk there at night if you've got company or when you don't imagine the bad things that might happen to you if you walked alone.

BUT!!! Like, I was darn "lucky" lah.
So MOM and DAD were really brisk walking ahead of me and I was behind them, strolling along. They pretty much disappeared after awhile, so I was alone, walking... yeah, nothing much to do, so I had the time to think about stuff...

THEN... about the "lucky"... I was walking along, relaxed and all... WHEN I WAS SUDDENLY ATTACKED BY A FLYING BUG!!! Yeah, it was quite BIG... and it flew into my hair. So I horridly swept it away. *eww I touched A BEE! That's just creeped out man!
It flew AWAY, thank goodness, without leaving a sting on me.

Story over?
NO WAY MAN!
OH, not just that bee okay! I went to a bench and (it was so random), I just sat down, so I put my hands on my laps and on the left hand, I felt something!!! At first it was on my tee, then it dropped onto my pants when I sat (I could feel it!), I instinctively swept it away when I accidentally touched it lah! Like, SO GROSS! It was a HUGE (thumb-sized?) beetle. AND it was black. YUCK.

It was like filming "Revenge of the Bugs" or something. BUT - this time I'm not sarcastic - luckily that was the last big bug encounter throughout the whole stroll. I'm not afraid of small, soft bugs, or medium sized ones. But hairy, with stings, or hard-shelled bugs with that burly built and can fly just scares the *toot* out of me. Okay, I freaked for a moment, but I didn't SCREAM. From then on, I was like some sick person touching my hair and flipping my tee just to check that there weren't any bugs on me.

Haha. My elbow still hurts. I'm SUCH a complain queen.
SO! I really am dissatisfied with my COM 225 results. Like, 80/100 is a freakin B! Like, yeah. A B!
I rather have like, at least B+ or A-. Come'on! I worked so hard for that. Obviously your questions weren't precise enough, Dr. (RAMEN)!

HOW can you give me a 4/6 when my answer is so precise? Jocelyn's ones are even better and with examples but you gave her a 3/6?! HEY. I really really wanna see your marking scheme. I DON'T think all of us deserve such idiotic marks for your stupid essay questions. How can you expect us to give examples when you didn't even ask for them?! HOW?! If you want examples, ASK for examples! WE WILL GLADLY provide you examples. Of course, we KNOW of examples to give you, and we CAN prove that.

Like, URGH!

*pissed with YOU again* - yes, everyone is. You so gotta re-mark.
GET UP AND PROTEST PEOPLE! lol. - evil laugh and we can all pull through - AS IF! Right, think optimistic.

It's wordy, this post. I KNOW. =]

HEY HEY! [All "today"s refer to 21st March 2007]

I got like an uber-duber surprise when I opened the mailbox when I came home from school today!!!

*look at the left one!* - it's Wentworth Miller! I know, he's really EVERYWHERE. Getting really really popular now. The media has been featuring him a lot!

Of course, yours truly is going ga-ga over him. I think I'm getting all konked up.
So I made a skin today... Well, it isn't exactly finished yet... I haven't added my "watermark" or anything. And of course, it's uncoded, still.

By the way, UHM. If you wanna know what I've been up to in the school in computer lab today, check out LOISA.blogspot.com and see her 3 posts on March 21st. It's really... Okay, I was really ... I don't know. I am totally speechless, lol. I know, I had to have some fun. =]

By the way, I really think I should buck up for school. Ever since the exams were over, I've been slacking too much. TOO MUCH! I need to do some work! I do not feel at ease. But the mind's just thinking... NO WORK* NO work* I DON'T WANT ANY WORK.

Gotta get over that. I was SO SO SO sleepy in class today. Haha... I know we all are. OH well. I think I should REALLY sleep NOW. 1am is a good time to sleep. GOTTA wake early tomorrow to study some UGC 112 in case... Prof Peters... you know, do that thing she does and gives us a *POP* quiz. Speaking of POP, you really gotta check this video out. OMGoodness... It's SO darn FUNNY. Can't stop laughing about it.

POP - Pop! Goes My Heart

And for those who've already watched the video... and can't get enough to laugh at, it's time you feast your eyes on these:

Gotta download it?! ('coz you can't get enough?!)
Just click on them, then do the stuff you do with the right-click and save picture thing.

LOL! Okay, really gotta sleep now. It's 1.43am!!! OH MAN. It sure took long to download the vids and make those animations.

AND MY LIL BRO FOUND THE GUITAR CHORDS FOR "WAY BACK INTO LOVE"! I can play it! yayay!!

Good Night!!

[and I don't know if it's because my bandwidth for my photobucket account has exceeded - I can't seem to access the album! And sometimes the pics don't load]

Well... I'm blogging in the computer lab now... Like, "great", COM217 is cancelled. Good thing I didn't study for the supposed test that would be held today. Uhm... people are pissed, yeah. haha... Uhm, I <3 MUSIC AND LYRICS!!! It's so nice lah! Well, it's Hugh Grant, and it's Drew Barrymore! *yippee* It's romantic, there's music and they sing. Just that... I think Cora is absolutely WEIRD. Though Haley Bennett's voice is quite alright. I don't like Cora's songs... What Buddha's Delight..? what rubbish.

Hmm...
Last friday was crazy. I took the last train and last bus home all the way from Orchard. JUST because... I decided to stay out late. AND... I didn't take note of the time. So I thought we'd be on our way to the MRT station at 11pm. Well, people can be very "mo" - slow and uhm... indecisive? Haha... So! I panicked a whole lot '
cos no one could fetch me home! But... the following is... funny. Gah.

I reached Clementi mrt station at around 12.15am and then I checked out the info board, which says the last bus I can take home, 154 is at 0022! Like, phew. So I waited... good thing the bus came soon. LAST BUS! Quite accurate eh. So I phoned HY to come out and bring me home. I thought that he would reach the bus stop before I reached. BUT NO! So I looked at the dark, sandy path when the bus pulled over and I COULDN'T SEE ANYONE! So I expected he would have taken the brighter path. BUT NO!

There was this young, decent looking young guy who was rollerblading. So I followed him. Funny... he took real long to climb the stairs of the overhead bridge. I was so afraid he'd fall down on me so I walked on the left side. UHM.... when I crossed the bridge, I took a look at the dark path, and since I didn't see ANYONE (I thought I could meet them up halfway along my way back - not wanting to be a sitting duck in the darkness of that particular bus-stop), I went along the back path, well... near the train track and just sped all the way across. took me... a few strides? Haha... Was panicky, kept looking all around me! FINALLY... when I reached the *brighter* path, I looked ahead... BUT SAW NO ONE! Why?! They must've walked the dark path. I thought that was really .. haha... funny. AND dangerous. So I called home, and no one picked up. Then HY called. Right. Different path we were taking...

MUM went with him... well, didn't expected that! What else... Went home and took a very good shower. =]

I went to PONTIAN (Malaysia) yesterday! So nice. I saw my grand-uncle and family, who were very nice, and Chi Chi, their fluffy cat - VERY CUTE! *sigh* He's come down with cancer. BUT he could still walk! And he's not very weak... Though... It's sort of the... last stage... sigh... Had lunch and then shopped at a supermarket. Some stuff were really cheap! And guess what... we found HONEYDEW Vitagen! How cool is that? We don't even have it here in Singapore. NU-UH... I shall upload a picture soon. It's GREEN! Haha... nice, light green. I wanna go to Pontian and shop again. I heard the Converse shoes are cheap. We could eat bubblegum there, and I bought the spicy tapioca chips. HAWT. We got LOTS of food. Actually, junk food... But.. yeah.

cheers!

ARGH.
the effects of exams...

PIMPLES.
Disgusting!!!
and painful.

GEE... wheez... WHY?!
Okay... uhm. chapped... lips...? Irritating!

BUT... thank goodness the exams are finally OVER.
I'm so happy... *yay*
Really, I don't know what to say... I've been typing so much notes these few days my fingers just wanna rest. But here I am again, typing away on the keyboard.

I've been distracted a few times... That's because I wanted to check out updates from the bands I like. Well, I've yet to get my Kaiser Chiefs album yet... (OMG, I MUST get it by friday!!!)

and I've seen the new MCR video for "I Don't Love You".
It's BEAUTIFUL! Pretty gorgs.

haha... http://youtube.com/watch?v=SO9Lj0T93Xk

YOU SO gotta love GERARD! :)

oh the recent babblings we've been engaging ourselves in...?

花人,如力。
well, 花人 is of Loisa writing 花人 instead of 华人! I know she knows some cheem words I can't write... But... flower person?! haha.. You're funny. Well, that made us laugh!! *too adorable* !!!

Uhm... 努力, not 如力!!! I wouldn't have known either. Wah, Jocelyn's 华语 quite good LAH!
and 华文... AYE. At least I passed with a C. She got a B3 !!! ok, I know some of you here got an A... TALK TO THE HAND! hahaha...

Oh well~
Both COM exams are pretty alright... I think I did well enough.
UHM...

OH another thing funny today. I woke at 9.15am, thinking class starts at 11am... and no... class starts at 9am! I was like... *please pardon my language* ... "OH SHIT!" then i quickly smsed Loisa and yeah, she also said.. what... "a bit late..."... I was still at home at 9.50am! So I rushed out of the house and reached school at 10.20am... Well.. class ends 10.30am! When I reached the lecture theatre, the lesson was already over. I should've stayed at home to study for the exam! lol-

Oh well...
It's funny... I haven't gotten so messed up in my life. I told my mum it was alright but my family tend to take this kinda stuff seriously. RIGHT. Actually, just mother asked if there would be any problem that I missed the class. I said it's NOT A PROBLEM! haha... attendence is not counted in his class. yeah. But still, I got pretty messed up ... bet it's the EXAM! better be more aware, if it were an exam, I would be screwed... badly. haha...

pretty much it. I'm off...

WHOA.
Am I beat.

Geesh... Haven't studied for COMS! It's panic time.
Nope. I gotta do it good. NAIL these subjects. =]

Okay, uhm...
Played badminton today (actually yesterday, coz it's past 12) with Loisa, Eileen, Kenneth, Jonathan, Jielong, Jaden... and I-forgot-his-name! It was so funny... GAH. laugh laugh laugh until no strength to play. CRAP. Then it was funny watching the guys play... LOL. No wonder we kept laughing. GREAT entertainment! hehehehe... 3 hours of badminton is really exhausting when you don't play frequently. I wish I could play badminton every week...

So we played from ... 1.15pm to 4.15 pm or so~ SO HUNGRY by then! So we had our dinner at Clementi... was thinking of what to eat and since Eileen was craving for pork chop.... hahaha.. yeah u were!!! lol. (and I was thinking of ah balling - real... BAD. craving! =])... we went to get our ah balling tang yuan and then settled for Botak Jones. Their menu is... uhh.. haha. Funny... in a lame sense. But it's no ordinary menu. Too bad they ain't got pork chop! But I think she changed her mind to chicken chop. *blur* I forgot. UGH. next... the food!!! It's HUGE! The fries and all was like... WHOA...? But it's 7 bucks so yeah, gotta get a big portion, duh!

Got really.. *ni*, *gelat*... very soon... and it was cheesy! I had the cajun chicken plate. =] Love the coleslaw though... I tar-powed the fries back for me bros and folks. Haha... *no ordinary fry!* -diao-

Okay... what next... HOME SWEET HOME! and a freaking good SHOWER. Then I was happy. =]

UNTIL I had a stomachache. uhh. I wonder why.

But!!! I feel much better now. Haha...
Time to sleep, it's ANI's Birthday!!! woo-hoo... good night!

And there's the IT show.

Check this out:

GOODNESS! It comes with so many things!!!

But I must get a bike FIRST! Priority. I wanna cycle at the track again... It's been a long time since I've cycled there. I remember that we used to cycle a lot back in my primary school days... It was fun! Haha... Just that... my dad keeps saying it's DANGEROUS. Yeah, so we gotta so be careful and watch out for cars.. But it's gotta be a good sport for me. The only sports I can and will do is... Badminton, Swimming... AND CYCLING! Yeah, somewhere along those lines of sports. I really can't take running. PAIN! ugh.. I'm heavy. YEAH...

Anyway...

MUST get my parents to revert to jogging at the track like they used to for a period of time! Then maybe I can join them... Just to.. try... YEAH I hate jogging... BUT~ oh well... hahaha. UHM... what else...
TODAY?

nothing much... I'm going to have a short badminton game tomorrow. =] YEAH. And then, study. MUST study. 2 very important exams will be coming up next week.

OH YEAHHH!

UGC exam is finally over~ But I actually feel kinda DUMB. She makes us feel dumb. Like, we study so hard for a challenging paper and she gives us questions we've done before in her class. WHAT?!

Okay... NO COMPLAINTS! I'm gonna have to do well.
It's funny I got 10/10 for the test I took today and 2/10 for the one today. Well, it's the comms test. No ONE.. ok.. some people who bothered... studied for it. I don't even know what it's about! Crap the stupid SNOOZE! I used to love the person who invented it. BUT NOW... I think I gotta ask ani to wake me up every morning. I'm too used to snoozing the alarm clock... BAD HABIT.

I was SO LATE today! 15 minutes late and everyone's about done with their test. So I rushed down secretly to the lecture table and signed my attendance before grabbing a testpaper... then I fumbled all the way up and ANYHOW circled the answers... SO I GOT 2 points. Better than none. That'll be the paper I'll drop. For the next few tests... I WILL strive to get 8 points and above. I PROMISE!

YES!

OKay... uhm.. MATHS... is DUMB. For me, it was all the opposite of 天时地利人和... THAT MEANS... 天不时地不利人不和.. YEAH, anyhow crap BUT.. it's that idea. GOTTA learn more Chinese phrases! YEAP... uhm... what else...

Grief...
Actually, it's real saddening, the passing of my uncle... dad's 2nd bro. sigh.
Yeap. let out a bunch of tears in school after getting the bad news on thursday morning. And I remembered seeing him last last Tuesday at home, sitting on the bed and talking to my dad when we went to visit.

Well, he's gone to the heavens where the scripture chantings led him to. I believe all these rituals. =] We've been really busy folding paper ingots, silver and gold... and doing our duties etc. I hope, we've done the best we could at the wake.

HMM... last tuesday itself, there was this huge fire at the pub beneath the apartments opposite of my house.. LIKE, whoa... the fire engine and stuff. EFFICIENT.

The passing week, it's absolutely ... kinda like one of the most busy and not-so-happy week so far. I felt cheated by the comms lecturer for postponing 2 tests to this week. AND... I studied real hard for those two. Point is, I'm definitely not going to his class today. We've gotta wake at 7am... and then the cortege leaves... and the coffin and my uncle's body will be cremated... Lots of rituals... UHM...

MAYBE... not going for maths too. I don't think so. I've emailed the prof for com 217 regarding the quiz today at the 1.30pm class... AND, he hasn't emailed BACK! Crap! Nevermind. I'll sort it out. Perhaps email him again. TRY AGAIN!

Watched "The Pursuit of Happyness" the day before yesterday. Pretty great show. LOVE the lil boy, Christopher... We went to Vivocity in the afternoon... I think it's quite convenient to get there. WELL...

HMMM.

Packet of tissues for the morning. SOB.
