Updates:
Last week was a whole week of orientation. Class starts this week. On Monday, the 25th of July. WE're still looking out for free food and whatnot, so whoot! Bring on the FREE!

I got 2 UB caps from BINGO! And a mug that everyone has, and also I finally finished unpacking everything from my luggage into my room. Getting all settled down, and getting into the "going for classes" mood. The thing is that, it's quite different here, the whole college atmosphere. And although it is kind of well, needs time to get used to, I think it's a really cool experience and all. And the whole vibe around here, college life is totally different. Everywhere I see people, all young people living their lives, going to classes, hanging out, doing their thing, playing their music. WHOOT! So fun.

Well, a few thoughts.

Anyway, I went to NIAGARA FALLS! I've got so much to post about New York City, the very few days we spent there, and everything else! But I guess I haven't really been in a blogging kind of mood.

Let's start things off with yesterday.
We went to the South Campus on a shuttle bus, on which I totally dozed off very quickly and kept leaning over to Eileen. LOL. Jocelyn's head was totally on the guy's shoulder. Anyway! (haha) We got the little course "reading materials" photocopied book for like US$19+. SO expensive. Like, come' on! And along Main St, we saw this little supermarket called ALDI. The stuff were pretty cheap, so we grabbed some stuff. Anyway, I realized I've been overspending a little. So I haven't got much money left. How horrible. But things here are way more expensive! I've been saying the word "ex" the most! We went pass these lovely neighborhoods and it's pretty *ulu*.

However, there was this funny bookstore called "Queen City Bookstore", which sells comics. And the moment we stepped in, there was this sign saying, "this is not Queen City Imaging" -- the place where we're supposed to get that photocopied book for our immigration and film class. OH! Speaking about the class! It is SO COOL! It's like this theatre, with really nice seats and so soft and all, completely like a movie theater. Actually, it is!!! We watched Charlie Chaplin's "The Immigrant" today. So funny.

It's like 2.43am now, and people outside are still shouting. So noisy. Oh BOTHER!

So our communication graphics teacher knew that there were some Singaporeans in her class, and decided to announce it to the class. Honestly, they thought we couldn't speak English! OMG! I almost fainted. All of us rolled our eyes. What do you think we speak eh? It's like our first language.... zzz Our mother tongue is Chinese but we're freaking BILINGUAL okay?! LOL. She was like, "I hope I'm not speaking so fast, if you guys don't understand anything you can ask questions after class". And we're like all (especially Steph) rolling our eyes. Then she was like, during this little assignment where we have to interview people in the class, "it's a good chance to practice your English", and I'm like OMG.... you so gotta be kidding me. Anyway, we're so gonna spoil market and use BOMBASTIC english okay. Don't play play! And then the girl sitting behind Steph immediately turned around and said, "you guys speak English right", and she was like, "yeah." and the girl was like, roll eyes*. LOL!!!

28 AUGUST 08
The BULLS BACKYARD BASH.
Well, disappointed that we couldn't watch the football show because it costs $25. However, we don't know the results yet. Anyway the bash at the arena was *alright*. Not very fun but we saw the "Thunder of the East", UB's marching band. And we saw the cheerleaders, and then we watched a concert by "ALL TIME LOW". THEY WERE FREAKING COOL! I TOOK A VIDEO OF THEIR PERFORMANCE AND THEY ROCK LIKE BIG TIME, but it's really really sad and lao kui for UB, because people were just standing there and watching, not dancing, not moving, I was just bopping my head a little. Hardly. Because the atmosphere wasn't that good, the crowd's not that big, and well, people weren't in the mood to party! Well, I wouldn't mosh if the crowd's hardly moshing and everyone around me was static. LOL. I was carrying my backpack anyway and if I weren't maybe I'd go a little bit crazier. A bit embarassing too. So I would definitely say, ALL TIME LOW IS SO GONNA BITCH ABOUT THE SUCKY UB AUDIENCE. They would definitely be like, completely upset only like 10 people really moshed and partied in the span of their concert. LOL. Sorry ah, too bad. When the frontman was singing this acoustic song, he suddenly stopped and asked the girl in front if she was on the phone (in a concert! omg, how rude is that), and she was like she hung up, and then he asked her to pass him the phone, and she did, and he dialled back and made a big fuss saying we're having a concert and asked everyone to scream "what's up" into the phone, and then he just threw the phone back into the crowd. LOL! He must be really pu huey, tau huay. Everything negative. HORRIBLE!
Quotes: "I need to see more energy", "I'm gonna cut off every single one of your heads if you don't start dancing", "I love you Stanley, and I love your hoodie".

It's gonna be UNFORGETTABLE!

OH! And another thing!
You know, before that, they were giving out free tees from the stage. I'm so angry! Anyway, the guy threw it to me, and I was just having that mentality that oh it will never come to me. Then it flew right SMACK into my face and hit me on the left side of my (oh!) face. I was so angry! And completely shocked an disoriented. The guy from the back came over to snatch the tee. I was so angry!!!

Garh. What an unlucky day.

Whatever...

I got a nice video of All Time Low performing Umbrella today. So that's good enough. And also, I got a hoodie from the UB store in the Student Union for $16.90+. DAMN COOL! I <3 LOVE it.

Ahhhh~ time to sleep!

Oh dear friends, I'm feeling so lazy to add the immense amount of photos I've taken into my blog. So it's great to log on to Facebook to check them out, coz' I posted quite a few there. And sorry Jo, Joelyn, and Loisa for being so slow at replying tags. HAHAH! I will reply you guys now. LOL.

Oh Facebook uploads photos really fast. Which is so good! LOL. Time to sleep! It's 3am.

Oh finally an update!
I've been extremely busy with orientation week the past well, week. In Buffalo now, and it's extremely HOT today. Burning sun. And it feels completely like Singapore. However, the past few days and nights have been really really cold. Anyway, I reached BUF on Saturday, with Eileen, and met Jocelyn at the airport. The dorms were extremely quiet and lonely because hardly anyone moved in. However, it's beginning to pack up with quite a lot of people now. My roomie's not here yet though. Raven Moon. Where is she, and what is she like I wonder. The rest have their roomies already. Today, Eileen's one has just arrived. Oh bother. Sachi sounds cute and they've seen her. I haven't seen her though.

Maybe later.

Extremely hectic... pile on the stress baby.

Well, it's much better now, because I finally got time to slack. They're mopping and cleaning the floors around, so I'm just hanging out upstairs. They're all on 3rd and 4th floors. Abby and Eileen are neighbors. However, Jocelyn might be able to move out of her 4th floor room and switch with Sachi. So anyway, I really need to clean my room. It's extremely dirty. It's so isolated but I really need a broom. Later on I'm so gonna look for one in the kitchen (which I hope is not locked). Then I'll start to mop the floor... and clean my bedroom slippers (ew, dirty). Oh did I not mention? I'm the only Singaporean on the 5th floor. LOL >_< And my floor has a lot of ang mohs. Thank goodness it's an upper level though, because nicer view, air and (hopefully) less bugs. We'll see.

I'm also going to blog about NYC later on. For now, I guess I'll just put on some photos! Excited???

5 days to New York for a short holiday...THEN!!!A flight to Buffalo, and then to the campus.

So exciting, yet kinda unprepared. I know I should've started but I haven't really started packing. There's like, an exam tomorrow, hello, which I so don't feel like mugging for. Come'on! Gee. This is so irritating. It's for our advertising class, and what we gotta do for this 30% exam is MEMORIZE EVERY SINGLE THING from this three pages of notes I printed out. WORD-FOR-WORD. It sucks, and it makes no sense. -shrugs-

Why do we memorize things like that? It's bad! Okay, okay a just a little while more. I'll be done with this exam and then I'll start packing then HOLIDAY! Then I'll be off to the U.S. Oh gosh. Don't know what to say.

I'm gonna have a roommate named Raven Moon, from Birmingham, UK. I keep imagining what she's gonna be like. I shouldn't be so pessimistic. Haha. I shall hope for the very best. Because I COME WHAT MAY! I will survive! (LOL)

Gotta be prepared for the cold weather that's probably coming in mid-september too. OOOH preparations. I'm such a last minute kid.

Guess what. Freaking medical consultation fee was $25! And it was just taking blood pressure, height, and weight, and asking the doctor to fill out a form. FREAKING SUCKS. WTH. Cheat people's money. So unfair. I think next time I gotta go to a cheaper clinic, like I don't know. National Clinic or something.

Oh oh! And I found out that blackish green lump beside my eyebrow is a cyst. Disgust! The doc said that it's only removable surgically. Whatever! I shall wait for it to eventually subside. Sigh.

I went on an adventure yesterday. Haha. A cultural and historical journey. Yeah right. Okay, so anyway, Big Aunt and mum and I watched Money No Enough 2, and we went up that super long flight of stairs to Mount Sophia (sorry, not Mt. Sinai -_-"), and went to look around Old School (nice place). Afterwards, we walked down the road to see their old school, Nan Hwa Girls Secondary School or something, which is a Youth Hostel now. Took a few pictures and heard a few stories. So nice. :) Apart from the one about their school's jaga. And took a few pictures of the old shophouses too. Then we walked a lot, went to Hotel Rendezvous and had our dinner at this place with a lot of curry dishes. -spicy-licious-
