You know... I was just wondering... Why is "loisa" almost always the only one using the comment function? THIS IS SO FUNNY! I'm going to comment ... er.. myself. OKAY. that is so random. OH WELL~ Still, I haven't put up the Penang photos... I'd figured it'd be real... you know troublesome. And erm. ALRIGHT! Some other time... if I would ever have the chance to do that. Dude. Who's waiting anyway... -gah- *thinks too much*...

ANYWAY. zoo... right... when I gather the time and effort... I guess I'm too lazy these few days. What happened?? Nothing much. I think I got into like a bout of insecurity these few days. (pouts) - wtheck?!

RIGHT. I watched.... crap, what's with the "I"s... right. This is my blog. ERM. I watched "200 pounds beauty" - that Korean show. Search for it on HANCINEMA.net. It's like... FUNNY. So funny. -bang- the dog. It's super cute. SUPER. Alfie's cute too.. as in, Yue Jing's shih tzu. Like a lil furball... DUDE.

ANYWAY. School's started. And out lecturers... well. Both are strict with punctuality. One's severe than the other. I think that woman is a Singaporean - otherwise, she has a weird Asian accent that pretends to be ang-moh. ARHhahaa. That's funny. Both our lecturers speak funny. One's Mr. Zao Sia and the other's Ms. Machine Gun - that's 'cos she speaks darn fast and never stops... Well... at least not until she speaks a ton of words - unmeasurable. HOW does she breathe then???!!! weird.

I've just watched "POTC: The Curse of the Black Pearl" AGAIN! Actually, wanted to continue the marathon and watch "Dead Man's Chest"... But I'll watch it tomorrow. Yeah. THE DVDS! Whoo~ so gonna get the 3rd one too. I LOVE Jack Sparrow. RIGHT. But first, I shall watch it in the theatre. *yippee* - SATURDAY! So far ahead...

Whoa. I so wanna do a photo blog post for the zoo outing. Coz I can't quite remember the nitty gritty details anymore. But I haven't got most of the funny and interesting pictures for blogging yet. SIGH! Krystel's and Jaden's or Jielong's or i-dunno-who's should be real interesting. (yak yak yak) the donkey! the donkey!!!

Okay...

So Loisa and I met at Jurong East Int. and headed to CCK was it? There was a bus there, and we had to wait like 20+ minutes for it to come. Most of the people were pretty late, so we got in at around 1+pm? I guess the whole outing was pretty fun. It was expensive - 20bucks for entry+unlimited trams. Well, at least the animals were priceless. I took quite some pictures too.

I love the meerkats! And the monkeys were so funny. haha... The WHITE TIGERS! They were just magnificent. Very glorious. What else? Right... We saw so many animals it became quite a whirl. The snakes were cool, I LOVE the LEMURs! Absolutely... very very cute. We could touch it in the fragile forest. At the right time too! We went in at feeding time, so we got to see them eat. Too bad my camera went out of battery, I had to use my phone cam and also, depend on others' cameras. How I wish to see their pictures soon. *gee*

The elephants were pretty smart! And for the rest of the day, the words "pygmy hippo" kept stuck in my head. Whee~ They're so much smaller than the African Hippo. Well, we've got a picture. See if I can get it and post it. We posed with the placard of the African Hippo. It was pretty nice. I think we all looked great in the photos that day. *grins widely*

After the zoo trip, in which we didn't get to see Inuka the Polar Bear (sobs*)... 7 of us squeezed into a tiny 5 seater car. Great. Like why didn't anyone drive a mpv? hahaa... Guess who. Jielong drove, Jaden sat at the front (Kenneth should have sat at his lap - hahahah! smirks*), Kenneth, Elizabeth, Loisa, Krystel and I squeezed at the back. It was crazy. Such a long, tiring ride, and very squeezy!!! Well, we went to Orchard Road, for dinner. After spinning round the whole food republic with no seats to claim as ours, we headed to Cineleisure. Great. We've seats. FINALLY! Bring on the food please. *begs* haha... Then it was... STARBUCKS! Everything worth waiting for. Hahaha... I had a Banana Mocha Frappe. It was Tall - $6.20!! That's ex. But it's worth it. Just a little over-sweet.

Sugar-rush over, we headed HOME! Nice Jielong had the heart to drive us all home although I already had the mental preparation to take the mrt and bus home. like. *oops* very nice. So it was CLEMENTI first! It was crazy. He literally had to round the whole Singapore. From Orchard to Clementi, to AMK Serangoon I dunno what North area, to the East. That's mad. I wouldn't do that. HAHAA. sad to say. But his offer was really generous. Petrol ain't cheap.

I wouldn't dare say, but it was kinda fun - crazy? Dangerous. Embarassing. VERY.
Well, at AYE, he was driving 100kmh?? and it was all dark outside, so I couldn't really spot the exit from AYE to Clementi Ave. Six. So we missed it, and had to go further up to U-turn. At that time, I really, really! Lost my way already. The music was LOUD, and yeah, it was late, it was dark. Uhm. So paiseh. Nearing the exit, JL: "where you stay" - or smthn like that. "is it here?" - referring to exit. JZ: "clementi ave 6"... "no"... "AHH! YES YES YES!". **SWERVES HARD** our heart like totally skipped a beat. It was crazy... ARGH! Like that was like the craziest thing ever! But we all got home safely. I'll never attempt to contribute to something so stoopid again. Haha. It was greatly my fault though. gee, embarassed.

*home sweet home*

RIGHT!
Went out in the night with my family! We went to centrepoint, Robinsons - which I didn't get anything. AND Gramophone! I think Big Bro's luvvin' it. He is luvvin' it... He's crazy over Yui and buys his stuff from gramophone. Sweet. Hong Yong got his Linkin Park - Minutes to Midnight album under my credit! Okay, I shall stop emphasising him to pay me money... Such a bad sister. I got myself OKGo's Oh No, which I've been looking for for quite a long time already. It was the last piece, cd/dvd special edition. SO hot! I love it. But there was a small tear at the edge of the cover paper. UGH! since it was the last one, and the price was reasonable - $24.95, and an import... OKAY! So bye bye $42++ from my bank account. HONG YONG! hahaaa...

I've sampled some of the Linkin Park songs, pretty cool! =]
And OKGo's? Fabulous. *squeals*

MY POSTS ARE SO DELAYED!!!

Alright, I shall just summarise stuff up for the passing week. Whoa, exercised much!
Monday - cycle around neighbourhood and track
Tues - Swimming
Wed - Cycling for 3 hours at East Coast
Thurs - Badminton
Fri - Zoo
Saturday - Rest
Sunday (today) HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!! - Swimming + Buffet!

Well, shall blog with pictures about Wednesday!
It was crazy. I pulled a crappy late-an-hour stunt with Loisa. But mostly, it's my fault. She was late because I was late. SO... yeah. CRAP. I really shouldn't do that. But whatever. The guys should wait.

ONE THING: this is NOT a freaking double-date. It's just 4 friends going for a cycling trip @ East Coast - hear that Eliz?!

We were supposed to meet at Bedok, 10am - but it ended up being 11am at Tanah Merah. hahahaa... Oops. Jielong drove, so both the guys were waiting in his Ben-zee. I like to call Mercz Benz, BEN-ZEE. hahahaa... OKAY.

"There is a hill and a field - go to the hill, not the field" - JL
WHAT?! Alright. There was a hill on the left exit, field on the right exit. We should go to the left exit taxi stand.

UHM~ So when we finally reached East Coast Park, we had to take an extremely LONG walk all the way to the bicycle rental shop beside Burger King - the service was pretty good - but I didn't quite liked the bike. 6BUCKS!

[Okay, I've just edited 16 pictures that I'm going to use for this post!!!]

Well, so we started cycling, facing coast left.
On the way, we saw some sandcastles... Pretty damaged, but still standing. So we took some pictures! =]

All the way to this little park with a spiral viewing tower... Then it seemed like a storm was imminent. haha. From up there, we could see dark clouds coming to coast... So it probably was going to rain quite heavily.

After playing around for awhile, we took off to Bedok Jetty. The wind was like amazing. So strong! It blew my cap off a few times, and I was so afraid I would lose it to the sea. So into my bag it went! Hahaa...

Check out these pictures... (above) We couldn't even reach the end of Bedok Jetty before it started pouring really heavily. All we could do was immediately rush to the nearest shelter! There, we stayed put for about 20mins?

THEN!!! We got too hungry and decided to BRAVE THE RAIN! Haha... so we cycled and got all extremely wet! Hey, we all are quite fit eh? No one got sick after that. When we finally reached Jielong's car, it was only drizzling and we got down to eating... in the rain! Quite dumb. But yeah! HAhaa... all the food was made and sponsored by JL. WAH! So cool eh. There was garlic bread, pizza, and even soda! Well, could tell he can cook. HAND MADE pizza! Not those buy and microwave kind!

Hahaa...

What next?
RIGHT! After enjoying the food - which were fabulous - probably due to the state we were in - tired, hungry, wet. HAHA... We continued cycling all the way to the right side of the coast, where we couldn't even see the coastline. There were many cats on the way, and Loisa managed to coax some into cuddling mode.

LOL.

After a LONG LONG tiring day, we headed off to BEDOK! Guess what - BAK CHOR MEE! Yeap. It was fabulouso! And we had chicken wings too! So darn good. What else... RIGHT! THE PET SHOP stretch! We went to this stretch of pet shops under a HDB block and it was so cool! There was one having a big sale! Something Aquarium... and the 2 rabbits there were just absolutely adorable! LOiSA, we should both get one each! I'm still thinking about the orange-brownish one... And it wasn't a local breed- 70bucks for each was quite cheap.

GAH!!!
I want them!!! Looked like some Angora cross breed.

hahahaa... hmm. Oh well, JL took Loisa and I to Tanah Merah mrt later on, and we went down one side of the underground entrance - and emerged the other side! I can't believe it lol!!! Hahaa... alright. We were that blur. SO we had to go back down, and get to the station platform... HOME SWEET HOME!!! I stank like mad.

PART 2
Oh part 2 of the orientation! lol.. it's like, well. I don't quite feel the blog thing coming on about this but still, part 2 as it should be...

RIGHT. BIG COACH. We had a super nice sleep all the way from Orchard to Changi! So nice. IT was slow, and the aircon was whee~

But the moment we reached, it was.. bleh, blah. bleugh.
BORING. STONING. SIAN-ING.

Until we had dinner... that wasn't too fabulous. And then came stoning time at our beloved pillar.

Poor Krystel was feeling so tired, she went all pale. In the end, she went home and didn't had to take a forfeit for her group. YOU LUCKY! lol... Loisa and I had to take charge of the group, although we didn't have to do forfeit with them.

But I guess the group .. 13 it was, was really bonded already. THUS, we didn't have to go and lead them... they could so obviously follow instructions and lead themselves. Right. So we were just figureheads.

Then came the lame games... and the rubbish ghost stories, and the night-morning walk. It started like around 2am, and ended at 5+ going to 6. VERY dumb! solo walk for 80+ 90 juniors... and the leaders... LIKE what?! Oh of course it would drag to morning.

HMMS... so the whole night we were just zombified.

So Loisa and I went to the nightwalk... in the morning. It wasn't scary at all lah. And they said it till it was shiver me timbers kinda scary. Like -.-

Just that, Loisa and I wanted to scare the peeps in front of us. SO, we went to this tree to hide, and creep slowly. Then, one of the stationmasters, who was hiding some dumb places, actually, not intentionally hiding, but we couldn't see them, just like, "oei" or something... and it freaked the heck out of Loisa and I, to the extent of freaking screaming! Yeah. HOW embarassing is that?! GAWD!

The rest was alright... Fantastic view from the 2nd level of the chalet. It was whoa... the sunrise, just absolutely gorgeous. =] I loved it. Although, we slept there afterwards... coz we had to wait for the coach, which came at 8.45am. We slept at around 7am.. Or so...

-*-*-HOME SWEET HOME-*-*-

Showered, ate, slept. I loved my bed ever so dearly...
AHHH!

Hahaha. But we had to pack off for the Intercontinental Hotel!!! It was 1 room free and another room for 1/2 the normal price, so our whole family went there to sleep overnight. It was so cool. The photos!!!

I looked really bad... coz I was so so so tired and slow...
But we went to the hotel gym's hot tub!!! OMGOSH... that was the life i tell you! that was freaking... nice. And then the sauna...! CRAZY! Afterwards, the pool, and the jacuzzi... I tell you... it was just totally awesome!

*grins very very widely*

For dinner we had Swensens! So filling. It was well-deserved I tell you.
Then... came the chat ... coz we had internet in the hotel room, and my laptop was with me =]

Sleep... was pretty GREAT! Kinda fabulous I tell you!
Soft bed... soft pillow... *ahhhh*

NEXT DAY! We had super nice breakfast - actually the muffins rock - in the olive tree restaurant.

Shopping!!! I bought a bag at Bugis Street!
-*-HOME SWEET HOME.-*-//

SHALL I CONTINUE TO POST ABOUT YESTERDAY'S CRAZY EAST COAST BIKING TRIP?! YEAH I SHOULD!

*SMILES*

IN MY NEXT POST. I WILL REMEMBER! and then... today's badminton... crazy. will post... prolly tmr with the zoo post! yep, going to the zoo!

Orientation 07 PART 1

DAY ONE

Yes! I'm finally updating. Well, I really lost track of time. Alright. Today is a monday, 7th May 2007. Let's see... Friday 4th May was... 3 days ago. Right. Time flies. Pretty amazing. Ok, I shall stop saying that. It pretty much gets on people's nerves aye? Haha... Lemme see. Friday morning, 9am, I got myself up and went to school, preparing for perhaps some fun being a station master helper at the UBSIM Freshman Orientation 2007. I wasn't enthusiastic at all. I was in fact pretty much unpsyched about it! Alright. So it was really really extremely boring and sian. The moment we stepped into the room where all the event organizers and OGLS were held, we were pretty overwhelmed by everyone's rushy and super-enthu attitude. But we weren't phazed. Still, since we were pretty much IGNORED, we were pretty much BORED. Yes. BORED.

It was TERRIBLE. I felt horrible, pathetic, everything. Loisa and I, same sentiments. Coz we were HELPERS, EXTRAS, unneeded. Right?

(-_-")

If you say so.

Now that I wonder, could it have been better if we had just HECKED care, and PRETEND PRETEND to be thick-skinned, extras... and just, HEY! wah.. hmm.. then walked big shot-ly into the room and sat our butts on the chairs instead of placing them on the floor beside the door, unobtrusive, invisible, and beside the dustbin, acting all pathetic...

LOISA!!! WE SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT LAH! I feel so idiotic now can?
We looked like such assies.

UGH~ ~ Then again, there was the "genre difference". We were helpers, station masters. Our friends, none of them who were there, were like US. They were all OGLS! FRIENDS! you have abandoned us! haha.. joking. So, we were pretty much alone for most of the time. Just Loisa and I staring at each other and doing our own thing throughout the entire camp. Right.

We had to wait in VAIN for like dunno how long in the stupid butt-crackin position in the stupid dreaded spot till around 10+... before we were called in to attend some kinda briefing. Right. I think... perhaps it was from this moment on we didn't felt too bad. Finally, we got some STUFF to do. 2 sheets of paper. We were stationed at G, Paragon, and were assigned some dumb game - sorry Alex, but the game, it wasn't feasible. At all. I don't even bother tryna' explain it can?

Alright. So our equipment - SAF CAMOU CREAM!!! That was cool. But one thing- we were both in our own clothing. How are the groups in the "Amazing Race" going to identify US?! HOW HOW? heh. Then Sanjiv the president passed me a LARGE - huge - Orange spare OGL tee. Right. 2 bucks gone! *sobs*... We were... alright, identifiable. VERY identifiable.

NEXT!!!

We grabbed like what... packaged bottles of Newater - litres and litres, I tell you, it was just one word - heavy. And we headed to the pick-up. YES. A LORRY!
VERY FUNNY. I AM UNABASHED to show you OUR HAIR.

So we headed to Centrepoint, Orchard.

Then, we went for a SHOPPING SPREE! Loisa and I got chocs, sweets, and insect repellent. AT CENTREPOINT! Halls from 7-eleven, chocs from cold storage and insect repellent from Guardian. Guess what - all PROMOTION STUFF or CHEAPEST ones. LOL. we're such aunties.

Mcdonalds was OKAY. But the Macs place was kinda cool. OH WAIT! Why didn't I like tell you all?! Go see the lop dwarf rabbit at Pet Lovers Centre at Centrepoint basement can?! It's FREAKING ADORABLE! I WANNA BRING IT HOME! Please~~

Okay. Next... we had to go to Paragon to recee the place, do some homework and find out how we should get the game going. Guess what. It was a total rush. We went from security guard game thing, to price tag thing in Metro, and finally settled on Treasure Hunt. With ME as the TREASURE. I had to hide somewhere along the railings of Paragon, and the teams would have to find me! But only 2 from each team could play. The rest will take part in the "winners shall paint losers' face with camou".

So the day passed, we got bored... we got happy, we got sianed. We stood in the sun, we hid in the shade... we played, I ran around paragon, we ate Old Chang Kee food - darn I should've gotten a curry puff. I crave it NOW!

Here are the PICS we took ...

These were the water bottles we had to carry from Centrepoint to Paragon, with our hands full and bags heavy. So what? ARM muscle strain lah!!!

POSING FOR THE CAMERA!

I find a lot of people, tourists, getting pictures taken at the fountain... so we did the same too - lol! And a lot of people thought that we were selling water. So they asked us how much! lol... and the camou cream too! Also, we had people coming up to us asking to sell us perfume. Like, sorry lah. I'm REALLY not interested. LOL. I have so much perfumes at home, courtesy of my da yi - big aunt.

Alright, more photos!!!
These are from my digicam. The rest before were from Loisa's hp camera & mine.

[Click to enlarge these... I've put them up as a larger file.]

The rest are of the Orientation Groups and their leaders, the losers and the fun =]

Steph and Kenneth's group! With.. Giri and Jason's group. S and K lost... haha. SandK! SK jewellery, SK II, Samuel and Kevin... Wah. no wonder Steph and Kenneth got scandal among their group. Their mo qi so good ah.

HAHAHA! People! Start laughing at KENNETH! anw, Ken, you should wear brighter coloured tees instead of your uncle attires.. lol. you look so much more cheery. CHEERS! lol

I'm gonna get killed by eeyore! *scrams*

Their final product. These people were the most sporting larh! So I was quite happy with them lining up and all. So I took more pics of them. BLEH! =p

And... then the games were over, we headed back to DFS Galleria to hang out and wait... before hopping on a bus to Changi. The bus ride was fabulouso. We had the whole coach to ourselves - 7 of us in one big coach. COOL EH?
