Oh my goodness! Look at this!

Like, eww... what happened to Billie Joe's hair. He looks better with black hair. Looks like blonde is BACK. Look at his face! He looks really old already... Haha, after their success of the album American Idiot, I think, it's time they really took a long vacation. I heard from the radio that their next album might be called "Cigarettes and Valentine". Well, let's see if that's true.

And, to tell you the truth, I'm feeling EXTREMELY BORED. Heard of the movie, Wolf_Creek? Oh man! It really seems exceptionally scary. I went to the website and looked up the "based on true events" thing. Darn! That Wolf Creek killer is a crazy psychopath man! Reading the crimes he did really sent a chill down my spine.

I had spagetthi for lunch, mmm. It was SUPER-FANTASTICH. Love it! I cooked it together with Ani. Haha. So if she's not around, I can just whip up a dish of spagetthi. Ain't that cool? Right... I know you know, ok, maybe you don't know. But I don't cook. I just learnt how to make spagetthi today. Is that a little too old? I am so pampered. But life ain't that smooth anymore. Debts are scary stuff and if you can't return them, you get bankrupt. Snap. Everything may just disappear in a blink of an eye. Oww! And I don't know what's up with my left eye. It really hurts. Plus, it keeps tearing... When I blink. Owww... What's wrong???

Ooh. Look at this!

It's taken at Bangkok! At the Bangkok 100 Rock Festival 2006 by Patrick Chng.
It's Franz Ferdinand! After the Singapore gig, they went to Bangkok to perform. Cool! Look! Bob is not bearded anymore! Finally! Haha... oh yes, you can't see Nick in this pic. So look at this pic->

Ahh... There you go!

Well well well...
What have I been up to? Nothing much, as usual. The boring life I have now... is absolutely driving me crazy. My only salvation is to find some entertainment on the computer and through music. I had just finished designing a Franz Ferdinand layout for Blogskins yesterday. I loved it, wanna take a look? Go to: http://www.blogskins.com/info/83490.

I think I wanna submit another Green Day blogskin soon. Yep. But maybe... not so soon. I have to go down to Orchard Road to work VERY VERY soon, for my parents. They need workers. And I'm a very unwilling worker. But I have to do it. I HAVE TO! Aw, darn! I always have no choice. And if I protest, they'd be VERY VERY ANGRY.

YAWN... what else can I say? GO FACE THE BOREDOM! The posting of schools will be out 3rd March. Aw, SHOOT! So, where do you think I can go? huh?! I HAVE NO IDEA man...
What should I DO??? I always sit... and stare... and... WAIT... and... wait...
OK! OK! Stop yawning. I know this entry is boring. 'Cos I'm feeling bored. Oh, what the heck, forget it! I'm ending this entry now. BYE!

OH! My gosh! What am I doing now?! I'm supposed to be in bed! So I'm frantically typing this last entry down. Weird.. Why am I doing so? Just a little comment... Well, like my new layout? Just finished it. Hah... I think Franz Ferdinand hasn't visited their barber or may I say... stylishly, "hairstylist" for a long time. Look at their hair and their faces. Bushy Bob and all that. Haha... Just bored. Well, I'm not referring to the picture in my layout. I mean, their recent pictures. Take a look at their website. I read their blog just now. Alex Kaprano's one is really entertaining. I mean, haven't read the others... Their blogs are really entertaining, what with their extreme sense of humour. Well, It's SO Lame! I mean, their competitions. Oh my gosh... It's practically... weird, unpractical and... plain dumb! But it's funny! It's really funny. I like funny stuff... especially when weird clashes with funny. You get funnier stuff. What can I say? Haha... And who would say that curry is beautiful? Quoted-"beautiful curry on a banana leaf". -plain weird. haha... Oh! Foreigners. What a laugh. That's it. I have to hop upstairs to bed now... Or I'll get a headfull from Mom.

I had one of the best badminton sessions I had in a LONG LONG time today. It was freakin' great man! To tell you the truth, I felt so good after that though my muscles were aching from around 3 hours of badminton. I haven't played badminton for many months. So... that's a good recollection and revision.

Arrived at around 2.40pm at Queenstown CC. So I walked into the courts and saw Chai Bee, Wan Qi, Ben Lim and Jason playing. Right... Why was there so many people? I wonder.. thought was only Ben Lim, Matthew and Jason. But it's ok, at least there are other girls around. And so the game begins... "plonk" "piak" "bang" "smash"
We had a hell of a good time and ended up all wet and stinky. Oh well, it's good exercise.

After a break, Benjamin challenged me a one-on-one match. Well, alright. Darn! Missed by one shot. So the score was 14-15, with him winning. It was a close game. Then Wanqi and Jason came back from their break. So we got some drinks and chilled for the moment... Then Ben and I went to play basketball.. hooh... "boring la"... But it's good that I learnt a few stuff from him. Like, how to shoot with a basketball kinda style... whatever it is... So he knows how to play, and I don't. Hurt my fingers while "houp-ing" or say, "catching" the ball. Actually, I didn't catch it. But I tried to. So, we got into the hall and CONTINUE playing! Fun to play rough-house badminton. Smack-a-whooshin style... bamm! boom! FAST and action-packed. Love it to bits! We actually booked the courts till 4pm. But we felt that wasn't enough and continued till six. I had to fork out 10 bucks for the 1 and 1/2 hours of play. But Benjamin's share was not calculated cos I owed him and Chai Bee paid me back already. Left with Wanqi and Jason. Ooh! puh-leese pay me back soon, I gotta explain to my mummy... haha...

So, our hands were like melted-ice and jelly after we finished playing. Went home straight after that and quickly took a shower... or I'd stink the whole house up man! Laugh out loud... That's about it. Ugh, "sian". I have to go and work tomorrow.

HEY! This is so freakin' me!

Jia Zhen, your closet's inspired by the '80s

No, we don't mean '80s in the mullet-sporting-massive-bow-wearing kinda way. But a fun-loving and sassy gal like you can't say the momentary comeback of leg warmers didn't make you smile at least a little.

Something about the era of big belts, stirrup leggings, and dangly earrings gives you inspiration for your own closet. Whether it's the bright colors or bold patterns that inspire you, a rock star like you is all about making a statement that's all your own. And your love of the hairspray decade only proves that you're a girl unafraid to show her sass and wear her attitude. Who can argue with that?

So, here I sit with my half-painted nails. I mean, the left's painted but the right's not. If you get what I mean. Just read a bit of Franz Ferdinand's Band Blog. It's good they have this kinda stuff. It lets fans get to know a bit more about them. My current nail polish is... GREEN! Oh, haha... don't worry about me turning into a witch. I ain't going nowhere to evil-witchy-fairy-land. I'm just trying out a new colour. My computer's so crashy. Oh gosh, IT's TRASHY, I mean. I started at 12pm, and had to keep re-starting it till 1.40pm. What A crappy thing to do. I think it's infected with a virus... Poor little guy.

So I have to do all these things like writing blogs in a low-colour, super-enlarged, blinking screen. Oh! What a bother. Oh yea! Just a bit on the one-night-only, sold-out Franz Ferdinand concert I went with Hong Yong. We had gotten the $48 tickets just the night before and went there cheerfully, with super angst on meeting one of our favourite bands. I love their heart-pumping, adrenaline-filled way of expressing themselves through fast, non-stopping and amazing music. Where'd they get all their ideas from? Some songs don't even make much sense. But mostly, of course, the word "chim" English comes to mind to Singaporeans on these "Ang-mohs" from Scotland. Their music is good! That's why I'm listening to them. The concert was one hell of a good rock concert man, all the way from "This Boy" to "This Fire", every single song is filled with so much energy, bursting at the seams. Really, no wonder they're so popular, having so many sold-out concerts. A pity I couldn't fork out enough money to buy free standing tickets. We could have had received a greater impact of the whole show. We had to use the binoculars to be able to see their smiling faces.

Well, there's something really funny I ought to tell you all. During the concert, frontman Alex Kapranos(I can never figure out how to pronounce his surname) told every single person in the Indoor Stadium to go the the Intercontinental Hotel after the concert, well, that's obviously the hotel that they were staying in at that time, and bring food too, into the foyer(actually, "the lobby") and have a FOOD PARTY. Well, nothing funny yet huh? The funny part is, the night before their concert, they had a tiff with the General Manager because they brought food into the hotel. So it was "revenge" they were seeking. It's rather funny though. I didn't go. Well, should have gone. I could have met them up close and gotten their autographs. But it's okay. As long as their not dead, I can still get good music from them. I saw, in the Newpaper, the hotel was packed with over 100 fans and the place was a total riot. How funny. Lots of hugs and signings. Oh, what a bother. A regret that I didn't go, but it doesn't matter now. I've got lots of things to do. Helping out at my parent's store at Lido, waiting for the results of the posting of my Polytechnic course etc.
That's about all... So, until next time, have fun...(oh what the heck, I'll just finish polishing my nails).

Go see concert photos!

Well, yesterday, I went out with MJ aka BM or my dear old primary school buddy, Michelle. We went to the JAE course counselling sessions at Singapore Polytechnic and Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Didn't get much answers to our doubts though. What a bother... Early in the morning, I was expecting Ani to wake me up, but she didn't, it was my own body alarm claock that woke me up. Exactly at the time I wanna wake up, 9.00am. Weird, I looked at the clock. It was exact. But the fact that I woke up tired made me sleep another 13 minutes. When I woke up I was all in a rush to get changed.

Then, I smsed Michelle if she's out yet but she too overslept. Well, we're supposed to reach at the SAME time man... But something crappy cropped up. I waited at the bus-stop for like, 15 minutes and when I boarded the bus, I couldn't find my wallet. I DIDN'T Even bring it out man... what the heck. So, I asked the bus uncle to let me get down. I felt like a FOOL!
So I rushed home to get my wallet and set off once again, delaying the whole process... and ended up 30 minutes late. That never happened before! Till yesterday.

We watched Fun with Dick and Jane at Empress too. At 5 bucks! I say, it was worth it if you don't rush in from the hot weather. What you gotta do is buy the tickets 45 minutes before, sit down at KFC and have a drink and chit chat with your friend before heading for the movie theatre.

That's about all... I haven't submitted my application for JAE so I better do it quickly! NICE NEW BLOGSKIN I MADE EH?!

Well...
The O level results are out already. I think, it's really really crappy. It's "okay" only. Although I got A for combined humanities and english, my other subjects are really crap-laden.

I got 2As, 2Bs, 2Cs, 1E.
The E8's the dumb-old-given up Chemistry.
2Bs are the MATHS. Same grades. I don't know why I only got a C6 for Biology. I guess I'm a SCIENCE failure. I got A for Psle u know? But look what crappy results I have. My L1R4 is 16. I don't even know if I can go into Ngee Ann's Mass Comm. Though I qualify for that course's J.A.E. Last years cut-off point was 10. Gosh...
I don't even qualify for JC, having 22 for L1R5.

But a friend of mine wasn't that lucky. He's grades are really good, but having an English fail... I don't wanna say more. And Michelle J, B.m. got the SAME points as me. Also, I received a gift from Victoria. Just a souvenir for having sat beside her in class during the tumultous examinations preparation periods in class. It's really pretty. She got the same points as me too. Jo did well man, Her school's top ten. haha... A few unexpected high-scorers from my school! Oh whatever.

Oh... yesterday, we sent Second Aunt and family... plus Jojo off... they're migrating to Perth, Australia. Sobs sobs, so many people cried. All the Aunts. Mum thought my aunt went into the airport departure gates already. But when we saw her outside, mother was SO SO SO happy she broke down and cried. OH THE DRAMA!!! Then all the aunts sobbed. So touching.. I didn't cry though, with the web-cam and them coming back again, no worries. Technology's so improved, we can just use the internet to connect.

That's all. We're working at Lido's wedding fair now... So boring and HOT. I can't make up my mind though on the courses i wanna take. My mind's in a WHIRL now.
