Rainbow Falls Part Four"the road home..."still Sunday, 15th Oct.The coach ride? The aircon was strong, the weather outside was hot. So it was perfect, for a moment. Guess what. I was pretty silly 'cos I forgot to bring my windbreaker up to the bus and as it gradually got colder, I was like... "OH SHOOT! Should've brought it up!"
Nevermind about that. The funny thing was, it was much easier to fall asleep now so Loisa was sitting on my left and as we both dozed off - we didn't really reclined our seats 'cos Steph and Eileen were behind us - we kept knocking our heads onto each other. I mean, okay. I think it was I who kept knocking onto her. Of course, not on purpose. But, OW! Who ask her head to keep leaning to my shoulder. So I kept *bang* then wake up, doze off... *bang* then wake up again then doze off... I think it happened like 3-4 times or more lah! It was really crappy. Haha, but comical~
We both woke up at the same time after awhile and she said, "We forgot to go to... ", followed by a blur face and then a "forget it". After that, she turned her back on me and try to go back to sleep! But of course being such a pester-bug, I asked her, "What thing, what thing?!" ... Then she confessed.... She said she had a dream and we forgot to go to this event or tell someone that we forgot to go to some event or something. HAHA.. That's funny.. Off we went to sleep again!
After some bangings, I suddenly dreamt that my lil bro was leaning on my shoulder, sleeping. So I felt a little frustrated and pushed his head away from my shoulder. [as I am typing this, I kept sniggering and laughing lah. it's darn funny, I thought. But sorry loisa!] I woke up and realised I actually shoved Loisa's head to the left and she was like, "huh?!" -completely blur kinda look. Then I burst out laughing already... haha... That was damn funny... Okay, so I told her and she immediately gave me that -.- face. Of course I apologised... I think. SORRY AH!!!
Anyway, we soon reached Mersing, the place where we got a break the first time when we went thru the 6hrs ride. The toilet queue was long... but after that, Loisa and I went to buy some chocolates! We got 'em from the petrol station kiosk there... What a delicacy... LOL.... we bought 2 bars, one milk bar and the other with hazelnuts.
Another comical side of Loisa... After we bought the first bar, we went up the bus and gave Steph and Eileen some. Then they wanted more, so we went down again to stock up. 2 more bars. But as we walked to the kiosk, the majority of those ODAC people headed off to the bus, so we had to run there quickly. I grabbed the bars and queued to pay for 'em. Then Loisa rushed out to the bus and screamed, "STOP THE BUS, STOP THE BUS!" to the uncle. The bus driver said, "Don't worry, still got a few people haven't come up" - or something like that - I think she was super frantic. I was wondering why she ran up so quickly. They wouldn't leave without us. FG was still at the cashier, queueing up behind me! I think she didn't noticed him. Haha. It must've been quite an embarassment for her. MUST'VE!
ERRR, I'd be utterly embarrassed.
Anyway, we continued on and the leader of the trip asked for who was going to eat seafood at Larkin. Well, majority went of course. But we 5 UB people didn't go 'cos we wanted to go home earlier.
Majority of group 2 didn't go for the seafood though. Only Jean, Caleb, Rex and William went. Haha... oh well.
We reached Larkin at around 6+ and got some food at Mcdonalds. Well, it was totally unappetising! TOTALLY. I ate only 3 nuggets and tarpowed everything along in my bag back to Singapore. We felt super cheated 'cos the cashier auto-upsized our meals lah! I lost RM50 there, carelessly. I don't know why. I think it may have dropped out. So I was pretty sad... :( But Loisa payed extra for me for the upsize, so THANKS! That's like, very nice of you... :)
I should treat you to a tongue jelly sometime.
lol...
Okay, so afterwards we went off in a bus towards Johor, or rather Singapore. It was pretty jammed, so we got off the bus and walked towards the Causeway. It was just absolute HORROR afterwards, I tell you. I felt super duper duper MISERABLE during the walk back to Singapore, until we reached the nice air-conditioned Singapore customs, it was horrible.
The trip was utterly exhausting, considering our muscles were already aching like "don't know what" and having our huge bagpacks on our tired backs. Haha, I'm not exagerrating! The air was the WORST! I've gotta say this: "AIYOOOOOOO!".
The pollution was bad as it is, but the haze is also affecting Malaysia. I couldn't have proper breaths 'cos I'd feel awful. Then we had to squeeze like sardines through the packed Malaysian customs which had very few lanes and no queue lines at all. It was really lousy management in there. It's just, if you have the ability to squeeze through, you get pass quickly! You let someone through, you lose time. Something like that. I was so squished I couldn't really breathe properly. I was afraid if there were little children or old people stuck in there for too long. Man!
Oh well, so umm... I was left behind for quite awhile with strangers all around me and the gals are squished ahead already. But of course, being me, I was quite lucky to get ahead and find them. Then I just barged ahead lah. This is what you gotta do. They didn't move much and had gone to a lousy direction so I moved further to the right, where it's easier to pass. Eileen clung to the back of my backpack I think, but the others just stayed behind and... lagged... So I guess we were one of the first few to pass. Haha. Both of us had our passport stamped and quickly got to the crowd-less area with air con to wait for the peeps to pass. After everything, we just went off to the direction of the causeway...
Along the way, we had to go down this escalator into a crowd of people. That's where all the drama unfolded. 2 really young children were behind Loisa and I when we went down the escalator, and there were many people behind us. But as we got down, the crowd at the base of the escalator didn't move and inch. There was no space and when we got down, the people just kept piling onto our backs and the lady behind us was like, "STOP STOP, there are children here!" It was just, TOTAL FRENZY! People had to run up the escalator where they came from, and finally some guy pressed the "stop" button. Luckily no one was injured. But the children got so frightened that they peed! Loisa's sandals got peed upon and my right slipper too. It was disgusting! But we had to deal with it.
I didn't realised it was pee until Jean said that. And then we realised... YUCK.
Of course, I've washed my slippers already.
The walk back.. was eneventful and miserable afterwards... nothing much happened.
The motorcycles were as usual, loud and scary. And then we reached the Singapore customs! WHEE! It was bliss! There were many stations, there were queues, and good air-conditioning. We went to the left lanes and saw a few lanes with low traffic at the sides. But then it was for some scanning thing. We were unfamiliar. So we just ignored it. By that time, we were separated into 2 groups. Eileen, Loisa, Jean, Caleb and I on the left lane and Sebastian, Louis, Stephanie, Krystel and Sam on the far right. Well, to our surprise, some customs officer came to us and told us to go to the express lanes... It was fast lah! Just scan our passports, input our fingerprints and we can pass. Good. Now that I know that. Haha...
So after that, we waited like, 5 minutes or more before the others came out. =) *shocking*
Loisa, Sam and I were the only ones taking mrt back while the others went off in taxis.. We three went in the wrong direction and walked extra and climbed extra stairs lah! :(
Can't believe it.
But we promptly got home soon after in trains and buses. :) I think I reached at say, 11pm or so. I just kept munching on fruits to get the fibre in. Haha...
On tuesday, well.. last tuesday, we were supposed to go help our group wash the tents. So I got up earlier, so that I can reach at 11am to help wash the tents. Loisa and I were both sick and she had lost her voice. Hah... But as we went there, we walked wrong way, and lost our way. But anyway, uhhh... Rex was the only one at the Odac room and the tents weren't there yet. At last, we just hung around till 11.30am 'cos we had UGC lecture at 11.45am. Hah... so we went for NUTTIN lah...
Crapp.Rex asked us what time we reached home. And he was APPALLED when we told him 10plus, 11pm... In case you didn't know, he was one of those people who went for seafood. Guess what time he reached home... around 9pm. Our faces just went.. black.
CRAPPIER!We so so so should've gone for seafood lah~
:'( -cries-
So, that's about it...
ENDp.s. (I'm still sick with flu and itching all over with sandfly bites. Good thing the muscle aches went off about 2 days after Sunday)
