Oh yeah, why I liked "ROCK" music.
DON'T HATE ME FOR MY STORY.
I KNOW IT WAS ONLY RECENTLY.

I was chatting with Stephanie on MSN on Tuesday. So I don't know why we went on to this topic. I think I was too crazy talking about MCR and P!ATD, my current faves.

It goes like that... [from the conversation - so pardon the "sms language"]

hmm... one fine afternoon
I was in my room
I think I was dusting up
then I saw this old radio...
a battery powered one
and I fiddled around with it
when I turned it on, "holiday" by green day was playing. It was really catchy.. real... WOW. impressive.
so I waited till the song ended and then the dj said the name
so I went to download it. and then searched on green day, got myself some songs, and from then on it really got on.
I really really appreciated rock music, especially green day's by not singing about love and sorrow but also politics and everything that is real serious instead of *bling, cash* and *love and pop*. haha. (oops, but i'm being honest here) so, it really blasted off. I got REAL crazy over green day. my elder bro was like... he really thinks i was too crazy over them coz i kept surfing the net for
their pics
and he called me a green day freak
I didn't exactly liked that
but then now i really don't if u call me a green day freak, mcr freak or p!atd freak
haha
used to it.
anyway, i got myself their special edition album as soon as possible and then later on their dvd live show. everyone in school got to know me as the "green day fan too" coz i decorated my stuff with their pics i printed out. i could totally show u the notebook cover i made.
then when "helena" came out, by mcr, i was awed. totally floored. it was awesome and everything! but it kinda paled down and i din really got on to mcr then. but i went crazy over kaiser chiefs for awhile and when franz ferdinand came out with their album, i went bonkers too. with the "do you want to" video. and the bassist has a really adorable face. the lead's just HOT. haha. but not my type ha.

by the way, the funny thing was, I totally identified with the songs they played, like "castaway", "minority". [GD] haha
oh, no. that was not the funny thing. the funny thing was when Green Day first released their album, American Idiot in 2004, I saw the ad on tv, and i was like, "so noisy! what is that? a new band huh? eee." that's not very nice to hear now and I know it's totally contradictory but a person can really change.

how i got back to mcr
i was totally over them until i watched welcome to the black parade in class. that's stupid yeah
but it was fab [the vid]
i went back and got totally hooked so from then on i kept listening to their songs. wow. they're a real sad band.. i mean, their backgrd. but they're huge, they're major now.
i'm real bad... gahh
[but hardcore fan of green day; always lovve them!]
oh, i tried several times to deny i'm crazy over all these people because i dun want it to influence me too much
but i didn't control myself
or rather i wasn't able to, so i just spiralled and they're real inspiring.
wasn't much of a hardcore fan till the black parade came out
i love to look at lyrics too
they mean things too sometimes
or, most of the times if not always
healthy obsession?! yea, i'd stick with that. i'm trying not to say they give me meaning in life, i'm sure there're other things bigger than music. haha. but music's become real big. some fans i read proclaim they owe their life to mcr coz their music sort of salvage them or something. that's over the top. i dun tink i'm that kind person. haha
but some music is just kick*** fun. i like those too (bowling for soup?)

This makes sense: [I didn't say it]

"i know...i still find it hard to understand how pple can u know...owe their life to certain music"
"i tend to think that they are exaggerating lol ...."
"i just feel that it can be inspiring... sth u can relate to -- and understand from it ..."

DON'T LABEL ME AFTER THIS HONEST POST.

I was really looking for something totally alernative to listen to...
Something NOT like love lost and found in awkward and almost-always-the-same situations in POP music, as in stuff like oh, I don't wanna drop names.

*just smile* - heh. No, I don't think I'm done with what I wanna express.
But I'll leave it here for now.

P.S. THIS POST IS SPECIAL.
to me?

This never ever meant nothing to you... at all.
