HELLO! I shouldn't forget to blog. I wanted to skip today. But I had so much things to say, everyday.
First up, I received a reply from Ngee Ann Polytechnic after sending my appeal letter yesterday.
Dear Chia Jia Zhen
We understand your desire to acquire a Diploma in the Mass Communication course from the Polytechnic. We empathise with you and many others in the same situation.
We have given due consideration to the appeal. However, we regret that your appeal has been unsuccessful as your results do not meet the selection criteria for Mass Communication . Selection for admissions is based on compliance to selection criteria, competitive academic performance, and is also subject to the number of vacancies in the year of admission. Due to the large number of applications received, competition for places in Mass Communication has been very keen and there are no vacancies.
The aggregate computation for selection is based on grades obtained for English, Mathematics, a Humanities subject and two other subjects (excluding CCA).
Thus, your aggregate for this: English (A2) + Maths (B3) + Combined Humanities (A2) + A Maths (B3) + Biotechnology (C6) = 16 points. After CCA deducation (B3), it will be 15 points. The 2006 Cut-Off Points is 13 points.
However the COP ranges from year to year depending on the academic profile of each cohort.
If you are still keen on our Film, Sound & Video course, you may not enrol this year and may retake your GCE 'O' Level subject (Biotechnology or Chemistry) instead to attain better grades to improve your chances of admission next time. Registration with MOE as a private candidate is available at this website ( http://www.seab.gov.sg/) from 13 - 25 March 2006 . With results of maximum 2 sittings, you can apply for future admission to the Polytechnic.
As for Product Design & Innovation (PDI) course, you may wish to contact Dr.Tan Ah Kat , the PDI course manager at tak@np.edu.sg or 6460-6470 for more details.
Thank you for your interest in Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
Regards, Ee Wun Academic Affairs Office
Pretty much... crappy. But, well... For now, I have learnt to take things with an open mind. So, I guess... If I can't get what I want, I can't do anything much about it. I'll have to take it all in my stride then.
I don't know why, but maybe it's because I expected the reply from Ngee Ann to be a firm "NO WAY!", that's why I didn't feel so disappointed. I was just giving it a try. I feel... Alright about it. I wonder why... It's okay.
It takes in O level cert. holders with 5 credits, including English. Hey! So cool. The curriculum is like, interesting... and I can get a degree in like, 3 years. A DEGREE mind you! Not a diploma! Oh! I have to get this! But... fees are like... a whopping S$58,117.50. HELP!
Do I have a chance? I'd have to ask my mother.
I gotta go sleep now! It's so darn LATE!

1. Green Day
This has got to be one of my favourite skins.
Navi and never-ending scroller.
2. Panic! At the Disco
Something new, well, I' still figuring out more creative ways to do skins. Learning is fun. Learning on your own is much more fun.
Navi and never-ending scroller.
3. Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance
This is pretty grungy isn't it? I'm in the MCR mood now, so here's one for me with Gerard in it!
Navi and never-ending scroller.
4. Old MCR, feat. GWay, FIero, RToro
I tried a different layout with same aspects, but with a different navigational way. Minor overhaul, but major design change. =]
Navi and never-ending scroller.
5. Kaiser Chiefs - Your's Truly, Angry Mob
I tried to lay on lots of colour, like BRIGHT colours so it contrasts like, overly... I WANNA SHOCK you. Make them look shocking. Haha.
TABLES! NAVI! I took SO long to code this layout; it was freaking exhausting.
6. Jack Sparrow
It was really random, I wanted to change my skin badly, and I loved Jack Sparrow.
7. The Fray - All At Once
I just had a random idea that I needed my old style back after a comment from a blogskins user. So I just laid on the brush-spam. LOL. :P
