About thurs, 4th May...

Some juice comin' up people!

Today's Freshman Orientation for UB/SIM. Wah... Unbelievable... I have lots to talk about, people!

Firstly, I woke up at 7.40am. Reached the bus-stop at 8.30am. Missed 154 once, twice... THRICE!!! Sickening... The bus driver's so freakin crappy. I am only one person. His bus can still fit me. But he refused to stop for me. Rubbish. Maybe I should complain. Aiya, but not so free to do that anyway...

So, was supposed to reach at 9am, but ended reaching SIM at 9.15am. No worries. I registered, went into room 4.14 and there were quite a lot of students, the place was pretty filled. A bit of boring talks, and we moved on into different groups. I saw Feng Kai, I was pretty surprised to see him there anyway. But, yea. I did. He's taking a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Different course. But same UNI. Well... and coincidentally, we ended up in the same group too. I met some new people, made some new friends... total, 6 girls including me. 3, including me, doing the degree after O levels, 2 after A levels and 1 after diploma. They were quite nice anyway. Uhh, 3 of us are doing Comms while the other 3 does Business. They're Jane, Stephanie, Gracelynn, Audrey and Crystal. The guys are all an older bunch. Did their NS whatever already. Oh! Except for Feng Kai. They all call him Kai. But I refuse to shorten my name. They must call me Jia Zhen or at least, J.Z. lar...

Anyway, we had a campus tour, then lunch. It was Mcdonalds. Rubbishy... It was just the bread "kiap"(uh...sandwich-"ing"?) the fish or chicken patty only. No vegetables, sauce, nothing! Eww... tasted weird. And, after that... we headed off to Sentosa. THE WILDEST "fun" begins.

Ok, so we played in our groups...
Games:
1. Minefield.
There was a grid thingy... and we had to solve puzzles, crossing the grids... safely to the end point. Some team-spirit building and also memory work involved. So, if we got into a minefield, we would be bombed. Ok, BOMB. Talking about the bomb... the eewest of EWW. They splashed salty-sea-water on us and then poured like, a LOT of flour on us. Uwgh. YUCKY... We get like, VOILA! Instant hair gel hardness and dandruffy looking hair. It was so sticky, we even joked about baking our hair, making bread. Crystal was the one who got it the worse. The "flour-iest", stickiest amoing all of us.
So we went for a dip in the sea...
2. Spider Web.
Pretty... lame. Hehe... We had to cross the spider webs and get points. Yeah. Long and boring info, I wouldn't talk about it. It was fun.
3. The spin-round-a-pole, get dizzy, climb up a soapy, "flour-y", wetty, salty, slippery slope, get dunked on the t-shirt with seawater, did I mention on all fours? Run all the way to the "green string"(pretty far) and run back to tag the next race.
4. Pass-the-Oreo-Os-mouth-to-mouth-using-shortened-toothpicks
YAWN... Parlour game. Do I even care to elaborate? And we had to alternate between guys and gals. YAWN...(again)...
5. Foosball? -Table soccer.
But without table, enlarged, using humans, bamboo poles and a volleyball. It was quite short, fun? Yeah. Pretty fun. The guy beside me, striker no.1, Sanjiv. Amazing man! The man of the match. Scored 2 goals without a bat of his eyelid. And with so much style and posse! So cool.
6. Sandcastle.
Build a sandcastle. Yea. That's easy. But we got 10 points(full) for just burying our Orientation Group Leader in the sand. Yeah. That's easy.

Then we walked to the showers, it was so so so far away!!! Then... cleansed ourselves before heading off to the departure hall. It was such a long bus ride. The bus just kept turning, turning... and I don't know man. It got me dizzy. I'm so tired. It was scorching hot. So my face is so red now... Gosh.. they should've told us to bring sunblock.

Reached home at 6.50pm anyway, then went to SIM together with mum for the parent's orientation... some talks and, yeah.. Home. Now, it's time to sleep. NITES!
