Ok.
This is serious.
I have something I really want to comment on.
And that is the state of the construction and traffic at the huge traffic junction just outside our school.
Well, I know it's no use putting my complains up here.
But at least the people who reads my blog will understand. I mean, Queensway students.
During these few days that I had to go back to school, I experienced immense heat. Most probably due to global warming. It's a serious issue and it's getting worse now, I hope the people on Earth will do something about it quickly or not, our descendents will suffer.
Anyway, this is actually not the main point I'm talking about. It's really hard to control global warming, to get everyone on Earth to cooperate. People just don't understand the seriousness of it all. How can they still call Earth our "Mother" if they don't treat their "Mother" well? Then is "Mother Earth" an appropriate term?
I really don't know. It's hard to explain all these things. That's what groups and organisations like ONE EARTH have been trying to do. Explain. But not many listens. Why? Humans are much too greedy. Like their catchphrase, "Earth can satisfy our needs.", "But can it satisfy our greed?". Think about. Do thing about it. And if you want, you can go check out
ONE EARTH.
The bad thing about the traffic junction is that the air is in a really bad condition. If it rains more often I think it would be okay. But these few days it's really stifling. So, even the rain yesterday didn't cause much changes. Today was also extremely hot. Okay, I was talking about the air.
Is it possible to lower down the traffic volume? I really want to know.
The vehicles are there 24/7, always moving. that place is always filled with vehicles. It's really scary.
And the gas that the vehicles are emiting. My gosh! They're extremely harmful and poisonous. The worst thing about that area is that it's always so "choked" of whatever harmful things, once there is a gust of wind, everything will get blown onto your face. It's really really disgusting and irksome. I mean, would you want that to happen to you? I got that experience a few times, it's like, the wind blows into your face and you will like sniff in the impurities in the air and the dust and sand particles might get into your eye. It's really horrible. Extremely.
And the sun rays are really really strong. My eyes were like almost closed walking from the junction to the bus-stop. I had to cross 4 traffic lights to get there. The traffic lights are a problem too. Some has long waiting times and some has extremely short waiting times. For example, when the green pedestrian sign comes on, for some of them, I can take my own sweet time and the cars would have to wait a long time. But for some others, I have to cross quickly because the green pedestrian traffic light starts flashing like after 5 seconds. I really dislike that area. A lot.
If only the construction work could end quickly. It would be great for everyone. Espeacially the poor pedestrians. It's really tortourous to walk that stretch of paths.
